THE TRADE UNIONS CALLS FOR A MASS PROTEST ON 1 MAY 2022,/ 12:30

Dear workers,

Dear union brothers and sisters,

Respected workers' rights activists,

In the name of the century's fight for workers' rights, caused and initiated of the complicated socio-economy situation in the country, FTUM calls all of its members, workers, and citizens to join the mass protest organized on the International Labor Day.

FTUM organizes and calls on mass protest, with one purpose, to protect and improve workers economic and social rights to its own members and all workers.

FTUM, of its highest organs, and bodies (Presidency and Council), unanimously made a decision on 1 May 2022 to organize a mass union protest which will express the revolt against unincreasing other salaries together with minimal wage increase.

The main request is at least 2.806 denar net linear increase of all salaries in the public and private sector starting from 1 May 2022.

Braver, intensive, and fast reactions are needed to resolve all of these problems, as well as creating new perspectives and visions. We call on the Government for greater productivity and determination in acting.

We call on all workers, fraternal unions (Confederations, Unions and Alliance) that recognize our values and efforts to increase wages to join the fight together with the family of FTUM, and together as a family of equal members, unions, workers and citizens, who do not only want to criticize but also want to be directly involved and on May 1, 2022 to go out on a large union protest where we will say out loud that the increase in workers' wages must happen immediately.

The protest will start on 01.05.2022 at 12.30 in Skopje in front of the building of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia in Skopje.

Hoping for unity in the common struggle, Happy Holiday

With respect,

Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia
