Women Section of SSM

The Women's Section was established on November 29, 2000, by decision of the Council of the SSM. Members of the Women's Section are members of female trade unions.

The directions of action of the Women's Section are: affirmation of women in society, fight against gender discrimination, equal participation of women in social, political, economic processes and influence on all other conditions related to the position of women.

According to the Program, the primary goals of the Women's Section are:

raising the rating;

educating and raising awareness of women about their rights;

• expanding the women's network in trade unions and trade union organizations;
• discussion and activities on mobbing, adopting a code of conduct in enterprises;
• improvement of legal regulations, collective agreements on all issues related to women's rights;
• campaign for new membership;
• information on the activities of the section;
• cooperation with other women's sections in the country and abroad;
• development of projects on women's issues;
• development of the section's website.
