SSM AND SKRM AT A MEETING, AGREED ON A JOINT STRUGGLE TO PRESERVE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS

The President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, Darko Dimovski, and the President of the Union of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, Vera Atanasovska, held a meeting where they discussed the need for a joint struggle of the unions against the activities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Government to abolish collective agreements, as well as limiting their conclusion in the following period without prior consent from the Minister of Finance.

They jointly agreed that joint performance and trade union unity and solidarity in the coming period must be at the highest level in the fight against the Rulebook adopted by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, which prevents any future registration of Collective Agreements, as well as the measures and the plan on savings adopted at a session of the Government, with which the Government envisages a reduction in salaries, loss of jobs and cancellation of collective agreements.

The President of SSM, Dimovski gave full support to the Trade Union of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia and President Vera Atanasovska in their struggle to preserve the Collective Agreement for Culture, which should be an example in the area of ​​salaries for other unions when concluding future collective agreements and that all trade unions should jointly fight to preserve the rights set out in collective agreements such as the Collective Agreement for Culture and not allow any government institution or government official to lay a hand on trade unions and collective agreements.

The government succeeds in uniting the unions against its bad policies, and the unions, like never before, stand jointly and in solidarity in the fight for the defense of collective agreements, and thus the defense of workers' rights.
