Employees of the PE "Parks and Greenery" - Skopje and its subsidiaries "Florakom" and "Luna" are protesting for the second day in a row in front of the company's entrances, demanding payment of their September salary, which has not yet been paid.
The workers are expressing their dissatisfaction by blocking both entrances to the company, every day from 9 to 11 a.m., until their basic demand is met - regular payment of their earned salary.
The President of the Trade Union of Workers in the Catering, Tourism, Municipal and Housing Sectors, Crafts and Protective Societies of the Republic of Macedonia (SUTKOZ), Stojanche Kashikovski, stated that the trade union, as the only representative union in the sector, has tried to contact the company's management on several occasions, but without success.
"Unfortunately, we did not receive a response from the other side. If the September salary is not paid today, for which the legal deadline expired on October 15, the employees will continue with the protests and blocking of both entrances until Friday, every day from 9 to 11 a.m.," said Kashikovski.
He announced that on Friday, the employees of the three companies, together with the SUTKOZ Trade Union, will decide on the further course of the protests. The workers are demanding not only the payment of the September salary, but also the payment of jubilee awards, vacation pay and other allowances that, as they say, have not been paid for a long time.
