On behalf of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, the President of SSM, Darko Dimovski, to all members of the Independent Trade Union of Firefighters of SSM and all members of the Firefighting Units, congratulates the Firefighters' Day on May 20, in memory of the first firefighter's detachment formed on this day in 1836 in the city of Bitola.
Firefighters are the embodiment of our society at the core of which is solidarity, rescue, helping, and sacrifice.
This is a day when we express our special and deep gratitude for their contribution to the security of all of us and for their role in protecting the lives and property of all our citizens and our community.
