On 17 and 18 July in Belgrade a meeting of the RTRC Solidarnost is being held. Trade unions from Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, BiH and Montenegro participate on the meeting..
Representatives from Republic of Macedonia are President of CCM, Zivko Mitrevski, President of TU SSESM Robert Simonoski and representatives from KSS. Mr. Michael Sommer, President of DGB and МКЅ will also be present.
According to the Agenda TU will submit reports on the current situation in the participant countries and a Resolution on joint activities will be adopted “Joint activities of RTUC Solidarost in the fight for sustainable economic and social development“ as well as “Resolution on Youth situation on labor market in condition of crisis and promotion of Youth position in TU“.
In the frameworks of the meeting which is organized by Friedrich Ebert Foundation a special Agenda for the Youth is foreseen. Namely, a meeting of the youth representatives with Michael Sommer will be held. From 18 - 21 July 2012 in Stara Pazova a “House of Football” is being held, a first Youth camp of youth members of Solidartnost. Besides sports part, adoption of a Resolution on Youth situation on labor market in condition of crisis and promotion of Youth position in TU is foreseen as well as presentation of Youth Sections of the participant countries, lecturers on Youth position, labor market policy, workshops and other activities.
The first founding meeting of Solidarnost was held on 3 and 4 February in Belgrade, while the Treaty was signed in Ljubljana on April 11, 2011. Initiator of the founding of Solidarnost is the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) while technical coordinator is Friedrich Ebert Foundation- Regional Office Belgrade.
Primary goal is TU contribution in the EU integration of candidate countries with an exchange of experience and positive practices of the countries in the region. Experts chosen by the Council has been following EU Directives, ILO Conventions and promote TU cooperation while special field of interest is TU movement among youth.
