The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) continues with the trade union educational activity dedicated to the topic of the Just Transition processes with the visit of the City of Kichevo where together with the local population we talked about questions like: "What is just transition and what influence as a framework it will have on our country and especially the workers’ that come from the most affected sectors like energy-sector, construction, agro-sector, transport and tourism?" and "What is the Paris Agreement on Climate Change?" among others, all this with the sole purpose to raise awareness among workers’ and the general public about the significance of this process and its impact on the environment and the workers' rights.

Workers coming from the Mining and Energy Combine Oslomej are directly affected by the implementation of the just transition.
The trade unions as the most important representatives of the workers’ and protectors of workers' rights will have a huge role in this process, taking care of the realization, protection and advancement of workers' rights.
The main conclusion is that "There is no just transition without protected workers' rights and without the participation of the trade unions".

Tomorrow, the cities of Strumica and Shtip will be visited, where in the city squares workers and citizens will have the opportunity to learn more about the Just Transition as very important process and what it means for the future of jobs.
*This activity is supported by the Project - Promoting Social Dialogue on Issues Related to the Just Transition in North Macedonia and Montenegro.
