Celebrating the International Youth Day, August 12th

The Youth Section of the SSM, together with young employees, members of trade unions from the region and Europe, joins in the celebration of International Youth Day, August 12.

Youth are the perspective of our country and therefore we direct a huge number of activities towards informing, training and empowering them, to be active creators of economic and social processes on the principle of modern technical, technological and development opportunities, but also with consistent respect for human rights, without discrimination and full care for human dignity.

Marking this day, the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, together with the Youth Section "SSMlady", points out the need for wage growth, the limitation of fixed-term contracts from 5 years to be reduced to 1 year, which would be followed by the transformation of the employment relationship from fixed to indefinite and young people would gain security in creating their future plans.

Only in this way will we prevent the brain drain, and young people will see their perspective in their own country!
