The employee is not powerful enough to negotiate for greater rights. Few workers are informed about their employment rights which is the main reason why they neither know how to claim a right nor know how to protect themselves. Hence is the need to join a union.
Only unionized, workers have the right to collective bargaining to regulate employment conditions.
The union is the only organization that stands for respect of human rights and freedoms, rule of law, democracy, free market and only legitmate organization that fights against violation of workers' rights.
The activity is being implemented within the campaign: LEGAL PROTECTION - SECURITY OF WORKERS' RIGHTS to raise awareness among workers and strengthen the capacity of SSM, with the support of the Project: Strengthening Social Dialogue, implemented by the International Labor Organization.
