The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia is "thanking" the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Nina Angelovska, who fully supports and implements the measures of the "bosses" and contributes to increasing the number of unemployed in the Republic of North Macedonia, as a congratulatory message on the upcoming May 1, the International Labor Day.
CCM strongly opposes to statements by the Minister of Finance regarding the possibility the companies that use financial assistance to reduce the number of employees and the Decree with legal force to financially support employers affected by the health and economic crisis caused by the COVID19, for payment of salaries for the months of April and May 2020 adopted at a Government session held on April 28, 2020.
The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia reminds the Ministry of Finance and the Government that given financial support at the end of the day will be returned from workers' money and through citizens' taxes and must not allow reducing the number of employees i.e. the State to finance layoffs under pressure of employers.
In these moments that are extremely difficult for the Macedonian workers, the Government and the Ministry of Finance must not adopt Decrees upon order and pressure from the employers, the chambers, etc., that are to the detriment of the workers.
Enabling employers with state money to play with the fate of workers and their families must stop immediately.
Therefore, the President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia is requesting an urgent meeting with the Minister Angelovska, in order to overcome this crisis!
