Due to the situation with the COVID - 19 on the territory of our country, at the request of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia as the sole representative trade union, a regular session of the Economic and Social Council was held in the Government of RNM.
On the meeting the current challenges in the economy caused by the health crisis and possible solutions to overcome them, according to the existing possibilities were discussed.
It has been agreed in common, that everyone in the country should do as much as possible to overcome this crisis, providing first health and existential protection of citizens, workers and companies.
The main priority in this specific period is the health and life of the citizens. Now, the most important thing is solidarity as the main principle of the work of CCM, which aims to produce fewer consequences, both for workers, citizens, companies, as well as for the country from this specific situation which our country, as well as the whole world is being faced with.
At the meeting, the representatives of CCM presented the problems faced by workers and expressed a mutual commitment for a close cooperation and support in future for all further steps that need to be taken.
The draft measures prepared by CCM were presented, as well as the proposals for measures by the other social partners, the Government and the Organization of Employers.
At the session, all measures have been harmonized which are mostly in line with the measures proposed by CCM.
