Meeting between CCM and the Government

At the request of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, a working meeting between the President of CCM, Darko Dimovski, the Secretary of the Council of CCM, Zlatko Cvetkovski and the Prime Minister, Oliver Spasovski and the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Affairs, Mila Carovska was held today in the Government of RNM.

On the meeting the present discussed the need for signing the General Collective Agreement for Public Sector and establishing the right to annual leave recourse for all public sector employees without discrimination and disadvantage of one category of employees versus another category of employees. CCM recalled that they have drafted a text for the GCA for the public sector and initiated the re-establishment of a Commission that works on the text which has already held several meetings.

The President of CCM, Darko Dimovski and the Secretary of CCM, Zlatko Cvetkovski, presented the positions of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia regarding the new Labor Law that should contain the European tendencies in the labor sphere. CCM submitted a draft text of the Law to the competent ministry, on the need to introduce more conditions for retirement in the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance and on the need to increase the minimum wage which according to European recommendations and tendencies should be at least 60% of the average salary in the country.

CCM, both in the past and in the coming period, will present its views to the social partners which are of particular interest to all workers in the State.

At the same time, it was pointed out that the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia is the only representative trade union on the territory, in the public and private sector, and it has the representativeness of concluding a CAs, so the Government and the relevant ministries need to take this into account.

The representatives of CCM asked from the Government to indicate all institutions and state bodies responsible for the Government, ministries and municipalities which in their Collective Agreements do not have provisions for payment of annual leave recourse, as soon as possible.
