DISMISSED WORKERS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CRISIS- RETURNED TO WORK!
Following the strong reaction of SSM of the possibility employers with state money to play with the fates of workers and their families, the Government adopted a Decree with legal force to financially support workers and employers affected by the health and economic crisis from the corona virus, and the changes guarantee jobs in times of crisis, provide protection of workers' rights, and prevents unjustified termination of employment.
At the same time, at the proposal of SSM and the unions at today's Government session, an amendment to the Decree was adopted with legal force for application of the Law on Labor Relations during the state of emergency which allows retroactive employment of persons whose employment was terminated in the period from March 11 to April 30 and their appropriate application in the system of compulsory social insurance, which will reduce the consequences of the situation in this period.
Employers who agree to retroactive employment of persons whose employment has been terminated from March 11 to April 30 will be able to do so by May 7, and thus meet the criteria for acquiring the right to using the measure of financial support for the payment of salaries for the months of April and May, says the Government.
The social dialogue led by SSM and the argued demands are giving results.
For the first time in recent history, the streets are empty, and we are not marching, but we are always fighting for workers' rights.
